Notes: This tour requires long hours drive, however can be easily enjoyed by anyone.
7 days program
Day 1: Windhoek - Namib desert / Swakopmund
We drive in the morning from Windhoek to Swakopmund taking the long panoramic route and stopping in several places of interest to admire the Namibian nature and changing landscape moving from savannah to desert.
On the way we will pass through the Namib Desert where we will visit the Moon valley, with it's moon-like landscape and the Welwitchia trail, which has the biggest Welwitchia plant (a magnificent specimen only found in Namibia and Angola) estimated to be 1500 years old.

Day 2:Namib desert / Swakopmund
This morning we embark on a dolphin boat cruise - a chance to see dolphins at a close range. In the afternoon we go and visit the desert dunes and the famous “dune 7” with possibility for climbing (and rolling down), dune surfing and other activities like quad biking on the dunes.

Day 3: Swakopmund – Cape Cross – Twyfelfontein
In the morning we drive to Cape Cross to visit a large seal colony. A number of Cape Fur Seals wander about in cold waters along the coast of the Benguela current.
We continue driving to Twyfelfontein stopping to visit the well-preserved Stone Age rock engravings and the famous “white lady” found at this amazing monument site. We also visit the burnt mountain, the organ pipes.

Day 4: Twyfelfontein – Kamanjab
In morning we drive to the petrified forest, then we continue to Kamanjab to visit the Himba people, one of the most unique tribes in Namibia. The Himba people are semi nomad and they almost still live like they use to live 5 century ago. Oase Himba village is village created to support 26 orphan Himba kids and many Himba ladies in need.
We meet, talk to the local people and find out about their fascinating culture.

Day 5: Kamanjab – Etosha Okaukueyo
In the morning we have a final opportunity to visit the Himba, then we will continue for Etosha, one of Africa’s biggest game reserve. We will enter the south park of the park and we will arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. We will then watch the animals as they come to drink the water at the famous waterhole.

Day 6: Etosha Okaukueyo – Etosha Namutoni
Today we spend the whole day with game driving in the park.

Day 7: Etosha – Windhoek
We drive to the Africat foundation to watch and learn about cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs and the rehabilitation programs that the centre is running.
We will then depart to Windhoek when we will arrive in late afternoon.

Today we visit two Himba Villages. We meet, talk to the local people and find out about their cultures. This visit will take us almost the whole day, as we will be visiting two different villages.

Day 6: Epupa Falls - Etosha
Early morning departure to Epupa Falls – one of Namibia’s natural wonders. We expect to arrive in the afternoon, we may take a swim in the streams of the falls.

Day 7: Etosha Namutoni
Today, will be a long drive as we are heading north central to Etosha, one of Africa’s biggest game reserve. Expected arrival is late afternoon, we will watch the animals as they come to drink the water at the famous waterhole.

Day 8: Etosha Okaukueyo
Today we spend the whole day with game driving in the park.

Day 9: Etosha – Waterberg Plateau Park
Early morning final game drive. We drive to the Africat foundation to watch and learn about cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs and the rehabilitation programs that the centre is running.
We finally continue for the Wateberg Plateau Park. Originally created as a sanctuary for rare species like the sable antilope, today is home for a large number of animal and plant species.

Day 10: Waterberg – Windhoek
Morning game drive or nature walk. We will also take the opportunity to see the dinosaur tracks embedded in sandstone in the north part of the park.
We will then depart to Windhoek when we will arrive in late afternoon.

Day 3: Namib desert / Swakopmund
Morning at leisure. You can just relax on the beach or going shopping, otherwise you can try many of the adventure activities like tandem sky-diving, or go on a 2 hours breath-taking round trip flight to Sossusvlei and back.
In the after we go and visit Sandwich Harbour, a large saltwater lagoon which is home to countless water birds including pelicans and pink flamingoes.

Day 4: Swakopmund – Cape Cross – Brandberg
In the morning we drive to Cape Cross to visit a large seal colony. A number of Cape Fur Seals wander about in cold waters along the coast of the Benguela current.
We continue driving to Brandberg Mountain.
In the afternoon there will be time for nature walks or just relaxing.

Day 5: Brandberg - Twyfelfontein
Morning spend for nature walks around Brandberg. After an early lunch we drive to Twyfelfontein stopping to visit the well-preserved Stone Age rock engravings and the famous “white lady” found at this amazing monument site. We also visit the burnt mountain, the organ pipes.

Day 6: Twyfelfontein – Purros
In morning we drive to the petrified forest, then we continue to the Anmire Traditional Village for to learn about Damara traditions and customs, housing, dances and songs, rituals, foodstuffs and traditional medicines.
We then continue for Purros. This area is famous for the desert elephant and they can be seen often walking around.

Day 7: Opuwo
Today we proceed further to the north to Kaokoland to visit the Himba people, one of the most unique tribes in Namibia. The Himba people are semi nomad and they almost still live like they use to live 5 century ago.

Day 8: Opuwo – Himba Villages

Day 9: Epupa Falls
Early morning departure to Epupa Falls – one of Namibia’s natural wonders. We expect to arrive in the afternoon, we may take a swim in the streams of the falls.

Day 10: Ombalantu
Today we head southwards to Ombalantu in Owamboland, a region which has the highest population in Namibia. We will visit the Uukwaluudhi kingdom (an ethnic group of Owambo) – whereby we will have a guided tour in the typical King’s palace, if we are lucky we might even find the king there. We expect to arrive in Ombalantu early afternoon and we will embark on a guided tour of Omukwa – a big baobab tree which has a hole big enough as it was used as a post office, a chapel as well as a prison cell.

Day 11: Etosha - Namutoni
Today, will be a long drive as we are heading north central to Etosha, one of Africa’s biggest game reserve. Expected arrival is late afternoon, we will watch the animals as they come to drink the water at the famous waterhole.
