Notes: This is a demanding safari that requires real passion for Africa and a good dose of energy.
7 days program
Day 1: Windhoek - Sesriem
Early morning we drive to Sesriem in the Namib Desert. All the area is famous all around the world for its unique red dunes, dunes of the size of small mountains only made up of soft sand.
We will arrive in the afternoon, in time to watch the sunset over the Elim’s dunes.

Day 2: Sesriem - Sossusvlei
Early morning departure to Dune 45 to watch the sunrise, after that we proceed to the Dead Vlei where we have the chance to climb some of the dunes. Optional activities such as hot air ballooning, scenic flight over the dunes can also be arranged.

Day 3: Sossusvlei - Namib desert / Swakopmund
We drive in the morning from Sossusvlei to Swakopmund.
On the way we will pass through the Namib Desert where we will visit the Moon valley, with it's moon-like landscape and the Welwitchia trail, which has the biggest Welwitchia plant (a magnificent specimen only found in Namibia and Angola) estimated to be 1500 years old.

Day 4:Namib desert / Swakopmund
This morning we embark on a dolphin boat cruise - a chance to see dolphins at a close range. In the afternoon we go and visit the desert dunes and the famous “dune 7” with possibility for climbing (and rolling down), dune surfing and other activities like quad biking on the dunes.

Day 5: Swakopmund – Cape Cross – Twyfelfontein
In the morning we drive to Cape Cross to visit a large seal colony. A number of Cape Fur Seals wander about in cold waters along the coast of the Benguela current.
We continue to Kamanjab to visit the Himba people, one of the most unique tribes in Namibia. The Himba people are semi nomad and they almost still live like they use to live 5 century ago. Oase Himba village is village created to support 26 orphan Himba kids and many Himba ladies in need.
We meet, talk to the local people and find out about their fascinating culture.

Day 6: Kamanjab – Etosha
In the morning we have a final opportunity to visit the Himba, then we will continue for Etosha, one of Africa’s biggest game reserve. We will enter the south park of the park and we will arrive in time for an afternoon game drive. We will then watch the animals as they come to drink the water at the famous waterhole.

Day 7: Etosha - Windhoek
Very early morning we start our game drive until lunch.
After lunch we drive back to Windhoek.

Day 1: Windhoek - Keetmanshoop
Depart early in the morning driving Oanob Nature Trail. Visit the dam and enjoy a quick walk in the resort.
After lunch we continue to visit the peculiar Quiver Tree Forest – Namibia indigenous plants that look like trees, the Giants playgrounds and Brukkaros Mountain – an extinct volcano exploded 84 million years ago. Expected arrival is late afternoon.

Day 2: Keetmanshoop - Sesriem
Early morning we drive to Sesriem in the Namib Desert. All the area is famous all around the world for its unique red dunes, dunes of the size of small mountains only made up of soft sand.
We will arrive in the afternoon, in time to watch the sunset over the Elim’s dunes.

We drive to the Africat foundation to watch and learn about cheetahs, leopards and wild dogs and the rehabilitation programs that the centre is running.
We will then depart to Windhoek when we will arrive in late afternoon.

 

 

14 days program
Day 1: Windhoek - Keetmanshoop

Early morning departure and proceed further south to the Fish River Canyon – the world third largest canyon, we expect to arrive early afternoon and drive to the main look out of the canyon. Late early evening we can relax with a swim at Ai-Ais – the natural hot spring.

Day 3: Orange River - Aus
We spend all morning around Fish River Canyon for photography and to walk at the edge of the canyon.
Early lunch then we depart driving along the Orange river, then head into the desert to Klein Aus Vista which is the home to the legendary wild horses of the Namib.
We set for a light trekking to the top of one of the hills to admire the sunset.

Day 4: Aus - Luderitz
All morning spent in Klein Aus Vista. You can go on a large number of trekking trails, just relax by the swimming pool or set off for on the car with the guide to explore the area.
Early lunch then we depart for Luderitz (the first town where German settlers lived) where we will arrive in mid afternoon. We spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure wandering around this pretty town.

Day 5: Luderitz - Sesriem
Early morning departure to Kolmanskop known as the ghost town of Namibia. It is a truly fascinating abandoned town, created during the diamond rush as an administrative centre. The town is well preserved and all surrounded by sand. You can go on a guided tour and go inside the buildings to have a feeling of what life could have been there at the beginning of the century.
In the afternoon we drive to Sesriem in the Namib Desert. All the area is famous all around the world for its unique red dunes, dunes of the size of small mountains only made up of soft sand.

Day 9: Namib desert / Swakopmund
Morning at leisure. You can just relax on the beach or going shopping, otherwise you can try many of the adventure activities like tandem sky-diving, or go on a 2 hours breath-taking round trip flight to Sossusvlei and back.
In the after we go and visit Sandwich Harbour, a large saltwater lagoon which is home to countless water birds including pelicans and pink flamingoes.
